Signs Your Commercial RO System Needs Service
Commercial RO systems don't fail overnight — they degrade gradually. Catching these warning signs early prevents expensive emergency repairs and water quality failures.
TDS Creep
Total dissolved solids in your product water are gradually increasing — a clear sign membranes are losing rejection efficiency and need inspection or replacement.
Flow Rate Drop
Lower output than usual means membranes may be fouling, pre-filters are clogged, or pump pressure has dropped. All three are correctable with proper maintenance.
Membrane Fouling
Scale buildup, biological growth, or colloidal fouling on membrane surfaces reduces performance. Regular cleaning and timely replacement prevent catastrophic failure.
Unusual Taste or Odor
If your RO product water develops an off taste or smell, post-filters may be exhausted, membranes compromised, or the storage tank may need sanitization.
Our RO Maintenance Process
Comprehensive service that extends membrane life and keeps your water quality consistent.
System Inspection & TDS Testing
We test feed water, product water, and reject water TDS levels. We check pump pressure, flow rates, and system recovery ratio to identify any performance issues.
Pre-Filter Replacement
Sediment and carbon pre-filters are replaced on schedule to protect the RO membranes from premature fouling. This is the most critical — and most overlooked — maintenance step.
Membrane Inspection & Replacement
We inspect membranes for fouling, scaling, and degradation. When rejection rates drop below acceptable levels, we replace membranes with commercial-grade replacements matched to your system.
System Sanitization & Pressure Check
The entire system is sanitized, storage tanks are flushed, and all pressure settings are verified. You receive a written service report with before/after water quality data.
RO Maintenance Plans & Pricing
We offer maintenance plans tailored to your system's demands. Higher usage means more frequent service — and we price accordingly so you're never paying for more than you need.
Annual
Ideal for low-usage systems. Includes full inspection, pre-filter replacement, TDS testing, and sanitization once per year.
Semi-Annual
Recommended for most commercial operations. Two service visits per year with pre-filter changes, membrane checks, and system sanitization.
Quarterly
For high-volume operations — labs, food production, manufacturing. Four visits per year with comprehensive testing and proactive membrane management.
All plans include priority emergency service and discounted membrane replacements. View full maintenance contract details.
Industries That Depend on Commercial RO
When your business depends on purified water, RO system downtime isn't just inconvenient — it's costly. Our maintenance plans are designed to prevent that.
Laboratories & Research Facilities
Lab-grade water requires consistent TDS levels below 10 ppm. Regular membrane replacement and TDS monitoring are critical for reliable analytical results.
Medical & Dental Facilities
Autoclaves, sterilizers, and dialysis equipment require purified water. RO system downtime isn't an option — our maintenance plans prevent it.
Food Service & Restaurants
Commercial RO protects ice machines, espresso equipment, and food prep water quality. Consistent water purity means consistent product quality.
Manufacturing & Processing
Production processes that depend on purified water can't afford inconsistent water quality. Scheduled RO maintenance keeps your line running.
Brewing & Beverage Production
Water chemistry is the foundation of every beverage. Commercial RO gives you a blank canvas to build your water profile from — but only if the system is properly maintained.

Commercial RO Maintenance FAQ
Common questions about commercial reverse osmosis service.
At minimum, pre-filters should be changed every 3-6 months and membranes inspected annually. High-usage commercial systems — restaurants, labs, manufacturing — often benefit from quarterly service. We'll design a maintenance schedule based on your specific system, water quality, and usage volume.
